[Wildheart]

A sleek black she-cat stretched over the hot tan rocks of the warrior's den. She basked in the surprisingly warm leaf-fall sun, and enjoyed the comfort while it lasted.

She watched lazily at all the action going on in her clan's camp; a young kit jumped out of the nursery with his sister to play with a lost feather; their mother scolded them and attempted to push them back into the nursery; a hunting patrol returned, carrying with them enough prey for half the clan; warriors sat all around the camp, sharing tounges. She expected that the whole clan was in good spirits because of the lasting warm weather.

She did fear that it wouldn't last much longer. She needed to protect her clan. She had to feed them through the leafbare. EmberClan would survive; they always did.

A sleek orange tabby She-cat entered the camp caring pieces of prey. She enjoyed herself cause the hunting patrol did a great job on getting food. She set the prey down and looked around camp. The sun shining was great but for how long will it last.

She looked up to meet her leaders eyes. Her gaze shifted as she saw a orange tom come from the Warriors den and walked up to her. "Hello Hollowclaw have a nice nap"She mewed to him. Hollowclaw's amber eyes looked at her" It was quite fine Rainfeather since its sunny." He spoke softly but strong.

Rainfeather knew that her brother was always the quiet type and she was the hyper type. Everyone in camp knew they were inseparable like they have this weird bond. If one of them is in trouble it seems like the other knows or if one's in a bad mood so is the other. Rainfeather nudge her brother" You should eat you haven't eaten all day." Hollowclaw smirked" I'll eat once I know everyone else has. I know there's enough but I want to make sure everyone has their fill." "Okay"Rainfeather shrugged her shoulders.

Darkstar lifted her green eyes from the lazing cats of EmberClan to see Hollowclaw and Rainfeather. She got up with a small grunt and walked over to them.

"Hello," she meowed, "Did you catch much, Rainfeather?"

She must have, because the pile of prey that sat underneath a juniper berry bush was bursting with tantilizing prey. Leaf-fall was not over yet, and Darkstar hoped the warm weather would last long enough to feed the clan through Leafbare.

Rainfeather looked up and dipped her head at Darkstar" Yes Darkstar. The prey has been more then I've seen before." She flicked her tail around her front paws"I'm hoping before Leaf-bare gets here we can gather enough of it for the clan." Hollowclaw dipped his head to his leader" We're hoping that Leaf-bare won't be to harsh on us."

Darkstar looked at the bright sky, arching her back. "It has never been so harsh before that EmberClan could not survive."

She wrapped her tail around her long, spider like legs. "We will collect enough food. Illusionbreak has a few patrols out now, in fact. They should be back soon. EmberClan will have plenty of food left for leafbare. We will be good and fat by the time is over," she let out a rusty and hollow purr. She did not believe what she said. But she still had to hope it would be true.

Rainfeather nodded" You are correct Darkstar. While the patrols are out do you need me to do something?" The orange she-cat needed something to do at the moment cause she was still full of energy. She was just a complete opposite of her brother who was watching the two she-cats talk.

Hollowclaw looked at the bright sky with a slight purr. The warmth of the sun warmed his pelt and it felt nice. He knew that it wouldn't last long since Leafbare is coming. So while its warm he is trying to enjoy it while it lasts.

Darkstar thought about it. "I don't think so. You've done a lot today. You could probably join the evening patrol, after you get some rest."

She unwrapped her tail and stood up. "Hollowclaw, have you been hunting today? I was just about to go out, if you would care to join me."

It wasn't an order, but it wasn't something he could say no to.

Rainfeather dipped her head"Alright. Well I'll see you in a bit then." Rainfeather stood up and walked over to the warriors den. She made herself comfortable and soon fell asleep.
Hollowclaw looked at Darkstar and then stood up" No I haven't gone and I don't mind." He dipped his head to his leader respectfully.

Darkstar nodded to Rainfeather and turned back to Hollowclaw. "Good, then. Where shall we hunt? I was thinking near the stream."

She began to walk towards the entrance, letting the hot sun warm her pelt.

"From what Rainfeather had told me there are much prey near rhe stream"Hollowclaw said and sood up. He followered his leader out of camp and let the sun hit him. It felt nice on his pelt and he didn't want Leafbare to come. He knew all to well that it will so he'll enjoy the warmth while it lasts.

Darkstar nodded. "That's good. We need to collect lots of prey before Leafbare gets to us."

She set off at a steady pace towards the stream, enjoying the fine weather. As they finally reached the trickling current, the sun was at it's peak; sunhigh. The massive ball of light flickered off the water and made it glimmer with millions of colors. Darkstar squinted to see, and lifted her nose up to sniff the air for prey.

"I smell some rabbits," she observed.

scarheart came up to his leader and fellow clan mates. can i go hunting with you?

Hollowclaw looked at his clanmate and dipped his head in hello. He doesn't talk to his clanmates much ever since he was a kit. Hollowclaw scented a squirll to the left as he flicked his ear. He lowered himself to a hunters catch and took light steps. The squirell noticed him but it was two late as Hollowclaw leaped and broke its neck. He picked put dirt over it.

He would come back to get it afterwards. His ears were alert as he scented the area. He picked up a mouse a little bit away from where he was at. He quickly killed it and then covered it.

Darkstar looked around. "Sure Scarheart. You can bring Breezepaw too, if you want. It would be good for her to get some more practice in."

She turned back around just in time to see Hollowclaw catch a squirrel. "Nice job," she meowed, brushing past him, sniffing in the undergrowth.

Hollowclaw dipped his head at the leader. Then turned his attention back to hunting. His senses flowed outward sensing a vole in a few tail lengths away. He carefully balanced himself as he hunted the creature. He leaped as the creature scurried out and he landed on it. With a swift blow through the head the vole laid dead. He picked it up and set it near the mouse and squirrel and buried it.
