Watching Aboue(Open)

A female tabby came from her den in the bright sunlight of Leaf-Fall. Her bright blue eyes watched the camp as everyone was doing something. Her eyes watched the kits who played and their mothers telling them to be careful. She watched as some apprentices were cleaning moss up from the elders.

She wrapped her tail around her white paws as everyone had something to do. Or they were just relaxing in the nice sun and breeze. Her ears examined taking every little noise. She felt the sun warm her pelt and it felt nice. She knew though that Leaf-Bare was coming and it might be a very cold one. She also noticed how calm the other clans are and was glad for the piece.

She licked her chest as the wind blew in her direction. She shook the feeling off and looked at her clan. Everyone was hopefully enjoying herself. She looked at the prey pile and notice how full it had gotten. Knowing everyone must have ate she walked up to it and grabbed a piece of prey. She started to eat it as the sun shone down on the camp.

[Moonsong]

Moonsong padded into camp, clutching herbs in her jaws. The earthy scent they carried wafted up as the breeze blew towards her. She sneezed, dropping the herbs in a scattered pile on the ground. She said nothing and bent down to pick them up, which was harder than most cats would imagine. As she struggled to get all the herbs into her mouth, the breeze carried a different scent... a more welcome one.

"Leafstar!" she cried, giving up on the herbs she had dropped again. She could get them later, or get an apprentice to help. "Leafstar... Um, can you help me?" She flicked her tail towards the herbs on the ground, then realized that her leader was eating.

"Oh, um, sorry. I didn't know you were eating. Sorry." She ducked her head in embarrasment and turned back to the herbs, heat flooding her face.

Leafstar purred at the Medicien Cat. She took her final bite before walking over to the she-cat. "Its fine Moonsong I'll help you."Leafsar said helping Moonsong pick up the herbs. She flicked her ears as she headed into the Medicien Cat's Den. The herbs scent her different scents and it reminded her when she was little.

Looking at the Medicien Cat she asked"Where would you like these to go? There's no need to be embarrass." Her light blue eyes watched the white she-cat. Her tail flickered back and forth waiting to get a answer from her.

[Moonsong]

Moonsong scrambled after her leader. She droped the herbs on the ground beside her and turned to Leafstar.

"You can just put them over there, by that rock. I can sort them from here."

She grabbed the rest of the herbs and walked a bit deeper into the den. The rock was the only one in the den, and Moonsong stored the herbs behind it, where the shadows and cool moisture could keep it at the right condition for storing them. She droppped the herbs and began sorting them into three small piles: one marigold, one coltsfoot, and the smallest one cat mint. She sighed at the tiny pile, and hoped that she would be able to bring up the mint pile before leaf bare came. Because with the cold temperatures, white cough almost always came.

Leafstar nodded setting the herbs down by the rock. She sat with her tail wrapped around her paws watching the she-cat. She noticed how small the Cat mint was and didn't like it.
" If you want Moonsong I can send a few warriors with you to help find more Cat Mint"Leafstar suggested. She would like to get more of it cause it would be bad not to have much. She hated seeing her clan sick with whitecough or any other cough.

[Swiftpath]

Riverbreeze padded up to the two she-cats, her deep blue eyes dull, but showing that she was interested.
"I'll go if you want, Leafstar." she offered.
Somehow Riverbreeze felt as if she should have been a medicine cat, but who would want to do all that boring herb-stuff?
The speckled cat sat down, resting her tail on her paw, and looked down toward the ground.
"If not then i'll do something else. Camp seems to be a /bit/ boring lately, I need to get out." she meowed.

[~*Leafstar*~]

"That be great Riverbreeze"Leafstar said looking at the she cat. "When you get done wth that and if your not tired do you want to go hunting. We need to get a little more prey."Leafstar suggested to her. She wanted to make sure that the clan will be well fed and taken care of. She didn't want to see any cats die.

[Swiftpath]

"Sure, why not. It's beautiful out today." Riverbreeze replied joyfully.
The warrior looked up, wincing slightly at the sunlight. It was in fact, beautiful. No clouds, it was cold, but refreshing.

"Actually, I think that it's the perfect time to hunt. All of the prey will be out searching for food before Leaf-bare." she added.

[~*Leafstar*~]

"I agree with you Riverbreeze."Leafstar purred"Lets go and once we get some prey we can go collect some herbs with Moonsong." Leafstar stood up and stretched then dipped her head at the Medicien Cat and walked out of the den. Looking around camp she waited by the entrance for Riverbreeze.

She felt the wind blow but it was replaced by the warm sunlight.

[Swiftpath]

Riverbreeze nodded with satisfaction of agreement, she had always loved it when cats agreed with her, on anything, espicially the leader. It was one of her major quirks.
The silver she-cat sprinted toward the entrance, and skidded over to Leafstar.
"Lead the way, Leafstar." she mewed.

[~*Leafstar*~]

Leaftstar headed out of camp with her warrior behind her. She went a little ways past the camp to the large pond. The sun was shining against it and reflected off of the water. Leafstar stared at the beautiful pond before walking up to it. Making sure her shadow was away from the water she watched closely.

She saw a fish move and glad it didn't notice her. Reaching up her paw she quickly grabbed the fish and pulled it over onto land. As it flopped Leafstar killed it with a bite.

[Swiftpath]

Riverbreeze headed out after her leader, her tail lashing with excitement.

She caught up with Leafstar, watching her catch a fish swiftly with one bite.
"Nice catch." she mewed, softly pushing her paw on the leader's shoulder, but not enough to push her over.
Maybe she should try now.

The silver cat looked over the river, seeing her dull reflection. She let out a soft sigh, but then focused on hunting. She saw a large fish swimming against the current. Mouse-brain.
Riverbreeze unsheathed her claws and snapped her paw into the water, feeling the scaly skin of the fish on her paws. The RainClan cat pulled it out of the water.
Thank you StarClan for this fresh-kill, let it nourish the cats of the Clan, whether it be the kits or the elders. she prayed, then killed the fish with a bite.

Leafstar nodded at her warrior. Then notice her catch a big fish"That's a nice catch." She purred to her warrior then went back to hunting. Soon she caught to more fish and waited for her warrior to get done. She smiled up at the sun with the nice breeze. It felt nice and she knew it was going to fade and fast.

[Swiftpath]

Riverbreeze caught two more fish, only a bit smaller then the first.
She decided that she would catch one more before leaving. The warrior waited, then saw a small fish swimming toward the bank. What was with these fish? Do they have bees in their brains?
Riverbreeze stuck her paw in the water, but didn't catch the fish. Instead, she fell into the icy water.
"Mouse dung!" she cursed loudly.

The speckled cat jumped out of the river, muttering more curses.

"Excuse my language." Riverbreeze apologized, shaking off the water.

"Its fine Riverbreeze."Leafstar said standing up"Lets get the prey back to camp. Then we will go and collect some herbs for Moonsong." Leafstar picked up the fish before heading back to camp. She smelt that the borders where a little weak and would have to send a patrol out right away. Her brown tabby pelt glimmered in the sun's rays.
